The Global Growers Network is a non-profit organization based in Atlanta that aims to promote sustainable agriculture and community building by providing immigrant and refugee farmers with access to land, education, and markets. Volunteers can support this mission by working alongside the farmers in the fields and assisting with administrative tasks. By volunteering, you can learn about sustainable agriculture, meet people from diverse backgrounds, and make a positive impact to the local community! No prior farm experience is needed – just an enthusiasm to work hard and getting your hands dirty!
Volunteer Day activities may include:
- Planting a demo garden
- Moving plant debris
- Spreading clover seed (cleared areas)
- Removing fences – lifting and clearing fence material
